Shipping & Returns

This Shipping & Returns Policy applies to printed editions purchased from thira.co (the “Website”), operated by Sakae Holdings LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the parent company of Thira.

Digital guides, memberships, and advisory engagements are governed by our Terms and Conditions.

1. Dispatch and Delivery

Printed editions are dispatched from New York and shipped worldwide.

  • Order cut-off: Orders placed before 2:00 PM Eastern are processed the same business day.
  • Processing: Up to five business days. Every copy is checked by hand before it is sent.
  • Transit, United States: Two to five business days.
  • Transit, international: Ten to twenty business days.

Orders are dispatched Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays. International transit times are estimates and may be extended by customs clearance.

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping is charged separately at checkout and is not included in the price of the book.

  • United States: A flat rate of $6.
  • International: Calculated at checkout, based on carrier rates for your destination.

3. Customs, Duties, and Taxes

International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs charges levied by the destination country.

These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the price of the book or the shipping cost. We have no control over them and cannot predict their amount. Customs policies vary by country; please contact your local customs office if you are unsure.

Orders refused at customs or returned to us as undeliverable are not refunded.

4. The Digital Edition

Every printed edition includes access to the digital edition. Access is granted at the time of purchase and does not depend on delivery of the printed book.

5. Returns and Refunds

Printed editions are final sale. We do not accept returns or issue refunds for change of mind.

Each edition is described in full, with page count, dimensions, materials, and contents listed on the product page. The digital edition is delivered at the moment of purchase, and is available to read before the printed book arrives.

This applies to all orders, domestic and international.

6. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Every copy is checked by hand before it is sent.

If a printed edition arrives damaged, or the wrong item arrives, contact us at hello@thira.co within fourteen days of delivery with a photograph and your order number.

We will send a replacement at no cost to you. We may request that the original be returned. Where we do, we will provide a prepaid label.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. The current version will always be available at thira.co/shipping-returns/ with the effective date noted above.
