Thira is a weekly account of where to be in New York, and a reference on art & culture, design, style, and travel. Named for a still island in Greece.
The reference takes four forms. The Week is a Monday account of what’s worth going to—gallery openings, dinners, the occasional fair. Stories are essays and interviews on the same four subjects: the work being made now, and the people making it. Objects extend the same eye into form—garments, scents, prints, and other pieces chosen each season for their craft and presence. Guides map a city in detail, hotels through galleries and the order in which to move through them, maintained rather than published once. New York now; London and Tokyo to follow.
Membership is by invitation and opens all of it. Guides are also sold on their own.
Private Client is a separate practice, taken on directly and quoted per project, for a limited number of clients each year. Travel, art, and interiors—routes built and booked, collections built and edited, rooms finished season by season. Independent of galleries, dealers, and hotels. No commissions and no referral fees, on either side of the practice.
