How does the fee work?
A flat fee, agreed before any work begins and scaled to the project. Travel is quoted per trip, art per search, interiors per season. What you’re buying — the trip, the work, the furniture — is paid by you directly, at cost. Any trade or gallery discount passes through to you in full. We add nothing to any of it.
What’s included, and what isn’t?
Included: research, vetting, negotiation, arrangements, and coordination end to end. Paid separately, at cost: the trip itself; the work and its framing, shipping, and installation; the furniture and objects. Visas, insurance, storage, and conservation sit outside the fee, though we can arrange them through trusted partners.
Do you make the bookings and purchases?
Yes, if you’d like. Vendors invoice you directly wherever possible; where a card must be used, the order goes on your own card under a short signed authorization. At cost, no additional fee. Or we hand you the reservations and introductions and your assistant clears the list in an afternoon.
How is this different from an agency, gallery, or traditional advisor?
Most work on commission — a share of the price, sometimes a cut from the supplier as well. That rewards spending more. We take a flat fee and pass the discount through, so the recommendation is for the trip, the collection, or the room, not the sale.
How far ahead should I get in touch?
Four to six months for most trips, six to twelve for complex routes or peak season. Interiors and art searches are taken on a limited number at a time, so early is better. Shorter timelines are possible; availability gets tighter.
Can you work from something already started?
Yes. Most projects arrive partway — a hotel booked, a few works on the wall, a room that isn’t right yet. We work from wherever you are.
How involved do I need to be?
As much or as little as you want. Some hand over a direction and see the result. Others weigh every choice. Both work.
Is what I share kept private?
Yes. Where you’re going, what you own, what you paid, and anything shared in planning stays between us. Nothing is publicized.
What don’t you do?
No architecture or renovation — nothing structural. Selling, appraisal, and collection management can be arranged but are scoped separately. Nothing is subscribed to; each engagement stands on its own.
