Private Session Lead

Thira is an independent cultural house dedicated to contemporary art and design, founded in New York. Our Private Sessions are small-group, before- and after-hours gallery viewings and hosted walks for up to twelve guests, in the morning or the evening. We’re building a small bench of people to run them with us, session by session.

The Role

You manage everything. You open the session, set why this show and why now, and carry the conversation in the room with the gallerist or artist. You also run everything around it: check-in, timing, the room, and the follow-up afterwards, so the guests never think about logistics. You know the New York gallery world and can talk about a show to a room of up to twelve guests like you’re talking to friends.

Terms

This is occasional, paid work, per session, and not a full-time role. Sessions run monthly to start, in person in New York.

To Apply

Write to editorial@thira.co with the subject “Private Sessions—Lead,” and tell us in a few lines: who you are, what you do in the art world, and how you would talk about a show to a room of up to twelve guests. A CV is welcome but the paragraph matters more.
