Consider this historic road in East London as a long outdoor gallery as it is now world-famous for its consistently fresh and diverse displays of street art. Either book a tour with a local guide or simply wander the streets yourself, taking time to pause and watch many of the artists at work.
Part of the beauty of street art is its temporality, so while some of the iconic pieces are permanent, the majority of the art on and around Brick Lane is constantly changing allowing it to always be relevant and speak to the present moment. This makes it perfect for repeat visits as you will always get to see something different. It’s contemporary as it gets.
